Minimalism is Occam’s Razor applied to stuff

Occam’s Razor is broadly speaking a way of scientific reasoning which says that the simplest answer to a problem is usually the best. In my opinion minimalism is the Razor applied to stuff.

It seems to me that the simplest solution to life is minimalism. Why have any more stuff than we actually need? The more we have, the more complicated life gets. More stuff needs more money to buy, more space to store, more maintenance and service and ties us down more. By only having the minimum amount of things that we need (note that I don’t advocate having nothing, only ensuring that the things that we actually have improve our life). The less we have, the easier and less stressful life is.
